Valentine's day recipe: 1 HONEY PUDDING


Mix half cup of honey with six grams of breadcrumbs and add a half cup of milk, one teaspoon of ginger, grated rind of half a lemon and egg yolks of two eggs. Whisk the mixture thoroughly and then add two tablespoons of butter and the whites of the eggs well beaten. Steam for about two hours into a mold from pudding that is not more than three-fourths.


Valentine's day recipe: 2 chocolate pudding

Take half a cake of chocolate broken into a litre of milk and fielded until it reaches the boiling point. Remove the mixture. Add four teaspoons of cornstarch mixed with the yolks of three eggs and a cup and a half of sugar. Stir constantly until thick. Remove from heat, flavor with vanilla and pour the mixture into a dish. Beat the whites of three eggs until fluffy and add a little sugar. Cover the top of the pudding with a meringue and place in oven until light brown. Serve cold.

2 cups fine crumbs of biscuits or stale bread, a cup of rich cream, if you can get it, five eggs very light, half a teaspoon of soda into boiling water, a cup of sweet jelly, jam or Marmalade. Scalded milk and pour over the
crumbs. Beat until cool and add half the beaten yolks, then whites, then the soda. Fill large cups half full with batter, set in a quick oven and Bake 30 minutes. At the end, turn out to be quickly and dexterity. With a sharp knife, make an incision in the side
each; pull partially open, and put a spoonful of preserves within liberal. Close the gap by pinching the edges with your fingers. Eat hot with sweetened cream.


Valentine's day recipe: Apple Custard PUDDING 4.

Put a quart of apples peeled and quartered in a saucepan with half a cup of water and cook until they are soft. Remove from heat and add half a cup of sugar, two tablespoons of butter and the grated rind and juice of one lemon. Have ready mixed two cups of bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons flour. Add this to the mixture of apples, then add two well-beaten eggs. Turn it all into a well buttered pudding-dish and Bake 45 minutes in the oven at moderate temperature. Serve with sugar and cream or hard sauce.
